Just another Friday? Or not…?
Today may well be a Friday, but it just doesn’t seem like one at the moment.
It’s so quiet around the office. You can literally hear the fans of the various computers around the office just purring away.
What is a Friday without all the noise?
Ah there we go, just got my first “Friday” email on the aus-dotnet mailing list.
During the week, many count down the days til Friday comes. And on Fridays, this is converted to a countdown of hours until 5PM.
So is it safe to say we all love our weekends, weekends rock “dude”! (ok, had to use that word, or mate, but “dude” sounded a bit more in tune with the other word, “rock”).
Now it all depends on what you plan to get out of your weekends, I haven’t planned too far ahead for my weekend. I just want to sit back, relax a bit, watch some of that Footy!
The Footy is on, do you need much else? Probably not if you weren’t a programmer. That’s where having a laptop is good, you can just plonk yourself down in front of the “tellie” (err, TV mate) and do a bit of programming (or web surfing/blogging which ever you prefer) in between the ad breaks.
Wireless also comes in handy in such circumstances (provided you seated yourself in a position within a good distance from the wireless access point [AP], whilst maintaining an adequate signal strength to browse the web at a decent speed).
Well, tonight we have a football game to watch on TV. MY Weekend starts as soon as I step out of the office sometime after 5PM.
Another thought has just come to mind, which has now blocked all other thoughts… The stomach has just sent a message to the brain… It’s saying “I’m hungry… FEEEEEED me dammit!!”
Oh, and I think it is definately time for me to once again, pollute the blogging world more regularly than I am now.
