XP SP 2 CD via APC
Yesterday when I got home, checked the mailbox, noticed that the new APC Magazine (Australian Personal Computer) had arrived.
Included on the cover CD is a copy of Windows XP Service Pack 2, it’s got the funky Microsoft CD holograms (well, it’s more interesting than the XP Restore CD that came with my laptop…).
Just as promised by the presenter during the TechNet Security Update seminar earlier this year. That’s always a great thing.
That’s one more CD to put into my laptop bag (for the times I may get a sudden urge to format my laptop, etc…).
If you’re running XP, and don’t have Service pack 2, I really think you should install it. But of course, do a full backup of all your data first.
Regular backups are also important…
