Upcoming Events in Melbourne this week!
There are two developer events coming up this week in Melbourne…
On Tuesday 21st there is a Melbourne Extreme Programming (XP) enthusiasts meeting being held at ThoughtWorks. If you’re a Melburnian and you’re interested in participating, then join the Melborne XP Enthusiasts Yahoo Group and say hello.
Check the past messages, there is a message there from David outlining the procedure for registering to attend the event! (From what I can tell, it is a free for attendance event!)
On Wednesday 22nd there is an Introduction to CLR Integration in SQL Server 2005 (aka Yukon) session being held at the Microsoft Offices at the Como Office towers!
I’ll be there, and if you’re in Melbourne, and interested in programming C# or VB.NET in SQL Server 2005, come along, just preregister here. This is also a free event, just make sure you register prior to attendance.
Introduction to CLR integration in SQL Server 2005
Wednesday, 22nd September, 2004
5:30pm to 7:30pm
Presented by Dr Greg Low. One of the biggest changes occurring in SQL Server 2005 (Yukon) is the integration of CLR (common language runtime) assemblies. At the 2004 MVP global summit in Redmond, SQL Server MVPs jokingly renamed the product “CLR Server”, given the degree of new capabilities. This month, Greg will be providing an introduction to the CLR integration provided by SQL Server 2005, in terms of what it means for both developers and for database administrators.
So, if you’re attending, and you’re a blog reader, try find me! And if I have any GMail invites left, you can leave me your email address and i’ll send you one!
