Seperate blogs for different audiences?
I’ve mentioned previously that I do keep a seperate blog elsewhere on the web.
It’s probably not too difficult to find if you look hard enough.
But why did I decide to seperate them?
Well, this particular blog is for one of my passions, which is technology, and communities. Ok, not just any community, but the IT ones in particular.
Now if I wrote posts about AFL Football Grand Finals, weekend sports injuries, what I watched on tv. Now would that bore you, the reader?
If you observe somebody like Frank Arrigo, he keeps two blogs. One for each of his two passions. One is mostly oriented to technology, and the other to his other passion (barracking for the St Kilda Football Club).
If your other passion is actually for writing a story book, perhaps starting a blog where you write a blog post for each short story you write would be a good way to go about it.
Or perhaps your passion is a little different? Perhaps your passion is actually photography, one way you can express that passion is by doing a photoblog of your daily life and/or interesting things you see in your daily life (eg: strange billboard signs).
I think blogs are a great way to express your own individual passions. The more you write, the better you will become at expressing your passion both to yourself (for future record… most important part) and to an extent the online world who may come and view it and occassionally provide feedback.

Yeah … I think it is a difficult to keep a personal blog plus technical content esp
if u reckon u are going to keep a mix of 50 -50 for both types of content (personal and
technical)
