Lundin – The meal in between lunch and dinner

Was just chatting to a friend on MSN and we came up with a new word: Lundin

Ok, so what is Lundin?

It’s the meal in between Lunch and Dinner. (LunchDinner)

Just like how Brunch is the meal in between Breakfast and Lunch, so we decided we needed a word to describe the meal in between Lunch and Dinner. :)

Let’s say it is the meal that is not quite dinner, but it is after lunch.

Lundin, Lundin, Lundin? Sounds like London to some people I’ve mentioned the word to.

So Brunch for meals between Breakfast and Lunch, and Lundin for meals between Lunch and Dinner, got it?

Oh, and welcome to the new “English”, where people/brands introduce new words to the English language.

New words are being pumped into the English language constantly by companies pushing their brand, as well as new meanings to words.

Google has crept into the daily lingo. So has Nike, and Coke. What about “band-aid”?

I’ve always used the word band-aid without a second thought, until I heard people use the word “plaster” in High School. Although people use the term band aid quite regularly, plaster is the proper term. (I think it’s “adhesive plaster” or something).

I’ll be honest, the first time I heard someone use the term adhesive plaster, I had to check twice to see what they meant! I’d always known plaster to be referring to something like when people break their arm, and their arm is in plaster.

So I think it was something to do with that. But, to my shock back then, it was referring to getting the guy some “band-aid”.
