Melbourne .NET Meeting on Tuesday

The monthly Melbourne .NET User Group meeting will be held this Tuesday according to the mdnug.org website.

The speakers for the evening are Chris Hewitt (from Readify), who will be presenting a talk about “What use are the CLR features of SQL Server 2005 anyhow? (for developers).”

And there will also be a presentation by Martin Hale from ITMasters who will be giving a brief talk on a course which allows the student to attain both a Masters Degree, as well as a Microsoft Certification in 2 years.

This should be interesting, Greg Low did a bit on the CLR features of SQL Server 2005 a few months ago in Melbourne. And I must say it looked interesting, so I wonder if Chris is going to be doing anything different?

I’ve been actually thinking about whether or not I should go and do my masters starting next semester, or go and do the certification stuff.

Personally, the Masters with minor thesis type of thing interests me a little bit more at the moment than one which is purely coursework.

Though, i’ll need to give this whole thing a bit more thought.
