Just got my new Tablet PC today!

Today, at 9:45am a big box landed in my office.

Ah, I thought, my magic package has arrived ;)

Actually, it was my new Tablet PC that I’ve been waiting for.

So now i’m in the possession of a Toshiba Portege m200 Tablet PC.

Very cool!

Oh, and i’ve found myself spending much time flipping back and forth between Tablet and Laptop modes a lot.

I’ve just finished using the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard, hopefully that worked ok.

Guess I got my new Tablet PC just in time, saw that Robert Scoble mentioned a Tablet PC Experience Pack

Cool, downloaded, and will install soon. But more importantly, I need some sleep.

    Hi, Will!

Four months on, what can you say about the m200?

Several months on, what do I think?

I think it’s a great piece of hardware, but if I want to install Windows Vista onto it with the nice new graphics, I’d need a much better video card than the one I’ve got right now.

Currently, this Tablet PC has a nVidia GeForce FX (5200) with 32mb of video ram.

I think the requirements for the “aero” interface, at this point in time is 64 and up MB of video memory. I don’t remember the exact details.

I really like the form factor of this Tablet, the size is pretty much perfect for me. I think 14″ would be a bit too much. This is a 12.1″, which I think is about the right size.

I should really write up a review on this tablet pc. I’ve been meaning to write one, but just haven’t found the time to do so lately.

Keep your eye on and ask around the Toshiba forum at TabletPCBuzz (http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=22)
