VS 2005 Express Editions Free
Very cool news. It’s only available free for download until November 6th, 2006. I think it’s a good deal.
It’s also nice that what you develop using the express products can be released commercially. Good for the weekend developer.
From the FAQ:
4. Can I use Express Editions for commercial use?
Yes, there are no licensing restrictions for applications built using the Express Editions.
Especially for those without an MSDN Subscription, or just wanting to install something “light” on one of their spare development machines.
You can download the full CD images for the Visual Studio express here.
Just make sure you uninstall any, and all previous editions of VS 2005 installed on your computer.
